Tulip garden is Asia’s largest tulip garden situated in the heart of Srinagar city . It is located at a distance of 18 kms from Srinagar Airport and at a distance of 17 kms from the Srinagar Railway Station , from where Shubh Yatra Tour And Travels provides you travelling facilities for sightseeing , hotel rooms , breakfast, lunch , dinner , etc. The Tulip Festival is celebrated every year for one month i.e., in the month of April . The timings to visit the garden is from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm including weekends . This garden is named after the former Prime Minister of India , Indira Gandhi as Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden . It was established in the year 2007 , to boost the floriculture and tourism in Kashmir , because of the beauty of these tulips. During this season , the tulips touches the heart of every person visiting here . Tulips like strong gold , margaritas , candela , kungfu , early harvest , ile de france , can be seen here . This garden extends over 55 hectares of land and these only grows in spring season .60 different varieties of tulip colours can be witnessed here. Along with tulips , this garden has Daffodils , hyacinth , ranunculus , etc.. The entry fees for the garden is Rs.50 per adult and Rs. 25 per child . These flowers needs an ideal temperature of about 55 degrees Fahrenheit to grow . Apart from India , tulips can only be seen in Amsterdam , Netherland , although the Turkey is where it was originated . Tulips grow best in full sun in the North and the half sun in the Souths .
